Nasrudin Hospital, established in 2000 by Dr. Abdirehman Nuh, began as a small private clinic practice in the aftermath of the conflicts in Somaliland, a time when the health sector was nearly nonexistent. The clinic quickly became a vital center for the community, offering much-needed medical care in a region desperate for health services. Situated near its founding district, the clinic evolved into a full-fledged hospital, expanding its facilities and services over the years. By 2008, the hospital succeeded in constructing a two-story building, which marked the beginning of its inpatient department, initially with a capacity of 25 beds. Today, Nasrudin Hospital has grown to accommodate over 60 beds and offers a wide range of specialties. The hospital's first department of pediatric and child health laid the foundation for further expansion, leading to the introduction of a surgery department in 2021 and a dental department in 2024. Now, with an average of 100+ outpatients daily and more than 2,000 inpatients annually, Nasrudin Hospital continues to expand its services. Future plans include the opening of an ENT department and the further development of the Pediatric Department, with the addition of more subspecialty clinics to better serve the community's needs.
